Jess Levine

As an artist, I strive to describe and communicate a sense of honesty,
courage, discovery and experimentation within my work.

I paint in a gestural, physical and emotional style, using a range of
decorator’s brushes, palette knife and other drawing tools to create a
visually pleasing image.

I work from my imagination primarily, but also draw on the inspiring
landscape of the Kent and Sussex countryside.

In my work, I have a wide range of creative concerns, namely colour,
texture, surface decoration, composition, balance and light.

I often combine different approaches in my art practice, to keep the
process fresh and dynamic.

These techniques include drawing, painting, collage and printmaking.
